New to me Authors 2015 : Top Ten Tuesday (#14) : Blogmas Day 8

Top Ten Tuesday is a meme created by The Broke and the Bookish.

This weeks theme is New to me Authors 2015, this was a fairly easy one due to the majority of books I've read this year have been from new to me authors. I am going to warn that I have mentioned the majority of these authors before, I did try to add in a few different ones as well. So without further ado here are my Top Ten New to me Authors 2015.

Ryan Graudin

I know I mention her a lot but she is one of my new favorites so expect to see her quite a bit. She wrote Wolf by Wolf and has written other titles as well including The Walled City which I hope to read towards the beginning of next year.

Danielle Paige

So far I have only read Dorothy Must Die by her but I want to read the rest of the series and see what happens and how Amy hopefully gets back home.

James Patterson

I have always heard a lot about James Patterson but just never got around to reading anything by him until this year when I read Confessions of a Murder Suspect. While I know he was only a co-writer for this book I still really enjoyed it and I want to read more by him.

Elizabeth Wein

So far I have only read Code Name Verity by her. But sometime next year I would really love to read Rose Under Fire and Black Dove, White Raven.

Kody Keplinger

This year I read The Duff: Designated Ugly Fat Friend by her and I did enjoy it (I liked the movie more). But I did like how quick of a read it was and it still had a good message in it by the end of the story. If I end up having enough time this year I would love to read another one of her books and if not I will make sure I do in 2016.

Kasie West

In the past few years I have heard quite a bit about Kasie west thanks to BookTube and reading Book Blogs so I finally decide to try reading one of her books. The book I read was Pivot Point, I liked it and can't wait to be able to read the next book in the series.

Jennifer L. Armentrout

This is one of those authors that everyone seems to talk about especially in the YA community. Sadly I just didn't like the book I read by her which was Obsidian. I might try a different book by her eventually.

Leigh Bardugo

After hearing several people go on about The Grisha Trilogy I decided to read it and I loved it. I am going to try and wait for her next set of books until more then one is released so that way I can marathon them.

Michelle Hodkin

I read all three of the Mara Dyer trilogy by her and I was kind of disappointed by it and I really don't understand what all the hype was about personally.

I have read four books by her so far this and I can't wait to read more by her next year. I have read Suite Scarlet #1 and all of the Shades of London Series that are out so far. You can read my reviews for all of these here.

Those were the New to me Authors that I have liked or have been rather popular and mentioned a lot that I have read this year. Did you have any of the same authors?

  2. You have some of my favorite authors on your list! Sounds like you had a great reading year! I love Kasie West and Jennifer L. Armentrout! Obsidian was not my favorite read from her. I feel like it is more of a reading slump type book. You should try Half-blood and Wicked. I need to read Split Second as well. Pivot Point was so unique!
    Happy Reading =)

    1. YAY! I hope your able to get to it. It was rather emotional at times but so worth it and I learned so much from it. (the author did use a lot of real life facts in the book as well.)
