Top Ten Tuesday (#3): Top Ten Books I've Read So Far In 2015

Top Ten Tuesday is a meme created by The Broke and the Bookish. This week, the theme is “Top Ten Books I've Read So Far in 2014"

Somehow this year I have already read 44 books! No idea how this has happened but I'm glad it has. Several of these have been 5 star books! So without further ado here are my top ten books I've read so far in 2015.

All Our Yesterdays by Cristin Terrill 
" Imprisoned in the heart of a secret military base, Em has nothing except the voice of the boy in the cell next door and the list of instructions she finds taped inside the drain."

I loved this story so much. As of right now this is my second favorite of the year.

The Shadow Cabinet by Maureen Johnson

"Time is running out as Rory fights to find her friends and the ghost squad struggles to stop Jane from unleashing her spectral nightmare on the entire city. In the process, they'll discover the existence of an organization that underpins London itself—and Rory will learn that someone she trusts has been keeping a tremendous secret."

This was the third book in the Shades of London series and it was everything I hoped it would be.

Out of the Easy by Ruta Sepetys

" Josie Moraine wants out of The Big Easy - she needs more than New Orleans can offer. Known locally as a brothel prostitute's daughter, she dreams of life at an elite college, far away from here."

   

This is my favorite book of the year so far! Sepetys has quickly become one of my favorite authors.

A Little Princess by Frances Hodgson Burnett 

" Sara Crewe's young but doting father sends her to a London boarding school when she is seven. On her eleventh birthday her life of luxury comes to an abrupt end when she receives news that her father has died, shortly after losing his entire fortune."

I so wish I had read this book soon. This is my favorite classic I have read so far.

  Escape From Eden by Elisa Nader

 "Mia has spent half her life rebelling against the iron-fisted fundamentalist preacher who brainwashed her mom into joining a compound of fanatics deep in the South American jungle."

This book was such an emotional roller coaster, it covered so many different things all in one book and really showed things that we normally only see on tv.

A Thousand Pieces of You by Claudia Gray

This was my first time travel book I've ever read and it made me want to read more like it. I can't wait for the sequel that's coming out later this year.

City of Heavenly Fire by Cassandra Clare

"Lives will be lost, love sacrificed, and the whole world will change. Who will survive the explosive sixth and final installment of the Mortal Instruments series?"

I was very happy with how this series ended and I can't wait to read more of Clare's books in the future.

All The Truth That's In Me by Julie Berry

 Still not exactly sure how to feel about this book but I did really like it.

Escape from Mr. Lemoncello's Library by Chris Grabenstien 

"Kyle Keeley is the class clown and a huge fan of all games—board games, word games, and particularly video games. His hero, Luigi Lemoncello, the most notorious and creative gamemaker in the world, just so happens to be the genius behind the construction of the new town library."

The only middle grade book I have enjoyed for a very long time.

All the Light We Cannot See by Anthony Doerr
"Marie-Laure lives with her father in Paris near the Museum of Natural History, where he works as the master of its thousands of locks. When she is six, Marie-Laure goes blind and her father builds a perfect miniature of their neighborhood so she can memorize it by touch and navigate her way home."

I loved this book and can't to read more of Doerr's work in the future.
