My Top Ten Books of 2017!



I know it's a bit late, but I still wanted to do my Top Ten books of 2017. This year it took me awhile to choose just Ten as I read over 261 books/novellas in 2017. I could have easily done my top 20.  Which is why I'm also going to give you a link to my Goodreads where you can see all of the books I read in 2017. Without further ado here are the books that immediately came to mind when I though of my favorites. 




The Diviners by Libba Bray
This one had been on my shelf for over a year and I am so glad I finally read it. Now I just need to get the next book and continue on in this series! Read my review here & Instagram post

Berserker by Emmy Laybourne
Being apart of the blog tour and finally reading something about vikings made my 2017 year so so much better! Read my review here & Instagram here & here

Orphan, Agent, Prima, Pawn by Elizabeth Kiem
This one was the end to a family saga that involved secrets, ballet and lots of family drama. So so good. Read my review here and Instagram here

Herringford and Watts Mysteries by Rachel McMilan
This is series about two young women who are detectives in Toronto. It reminds me of the Murdoch Mysteries show. Read my review for book one & book two  and Instagram post here

Cinder by Marissa Meyer
I finally read the book that is constantly recommend to me. I absolutely loved it! I need to read the next books in the series so I can move on to her new series that sounds so good to. Read my review here and Instagram post here 

DreamLand Burning by Jennifer Latham
This one is two different teenagers in different time periods both dealing with racial tensions So so good and I wish it got more attention. Read my review here and my Instagram post here

Brothers of the Buffalo by Joseph Bruchac
Two young men in the 1800's both just trying to provide for their families. Again I wish this one got more love. Read my review here and my Instagram post here

Darkest Minds by Alexandra Bracken
I finally read it! I get the hype surrounding this one and the girls remind me so much of Eleven from Stranger Things. Can't wait to see what the movie is like. Read my review here and my Instagram post here

Girl with the Red Balloon by Katherine Locke
Time Traveling to Society Germany. I so want to re-read this one very soon and I absolutely loved it!

Season of Daring Greatly by Ellen Emerson White
I still miss the show Pitch and I probably will for awhile longer. Good news is that a book was able to fill that spot for a little while. This is that book a young woman goes pro in baseball! Oh how I wish this would happen.
