Goodreads Summary:
Patricia and Mark Addison have long given up the hope of having a meaningful Christmas. But this year, Patricia's job as a social worker will lead her to a very special five-year-old. Against her better judgment, Patricia bends the rules and takes the little girl to her own home.

Through the presence of Emily in their house and her penetrating questions about heaven, the Addisons learn that there is no sorrow so great that faith cannot help you find your way through. And Christmas will once more be a time of joy in their home.

 My Review:

This is the third book in the Christmas Hope series that follows Nathan Andrews and several other characters as well. (I love how they're all being incorporated in!)

In this book, we get to see Patricia and Mark Addison a married couple that has grown apart from each other after a tragedy happened four Christmas ago. Mark is a pilot who works most of the time and Patricia is a social worker who has thrown herself into her work and has started obsessively cleaning when at home as well.
Everything changes for Patricia and Mark though when Patricia gets a new case where the child (Emily) has lost her mother in a car accident and since then has gone to multiple foster homes and is having to be placed into a different one a few days before Christmas. With no one to answer the call to take Emily in and she decides to do something that she really isn't supposed to do and could possibly lose her job for doing. With Emily now spending the holidays with her and Mark she's not really sure to do and with another child case needing her help as well due to a health problem, we get to see Nathan now in his final year as a resident at the hospital.
Emily helps not only Patricia and Mark deal with what they have lost but shows them that is okay to happy again.
Overall I really loved this one and it is my favorite one so far in this series! Seeing how everyone came together to make this a special Christmas for Emily and one that she will never forget was so heartwarming to see.
I cannot wait to see what happens in the next book!
