2016 Bookish Goals Wrap-Up #Blogmas2k16

Today is the last day of 2016! I feel like this year has flown by for the most part especially the past two months. Having said that though I am excited to see how I did on my 2016 bookish goals. You can see my original post here. Without further ado lets see what success and epic fails I had.

Success

I successfully reviewd all, but one book that I read this year!
I was also able to post at least 2 reviews a week!
Originally I only had 80 books as my goal this year, then I changed it to 100 and I have read way over both of those goals!
I feel like I did really good on reading more physical books though this year.
I did read 20 books of debut authors and you can see that list here.
I read a few audiobooks this year so I will call this a success.

Epic Fails

While I did make a posting schedule I also keep changing it every few months.
I didn't read all of my netgalley books (lets face it every time I started to get close I would request more.), but I have reached 50% now which is amazing since I have requested almost 150 books that I was accepted on. (yes I have a problem the read now option needs to be taken away from me.)
I didn't really read any books that I have on my own shelf's this year which is why #0by18 is now a thing.
I didn't do so good at finding clean new adult.

In 2016 I had 6 successfull goals completed and only failed at 3! I am very happy with that and I have made several new goals for 2017 which you can see here.
How did you do on your 2016 goals?

  1. That review record is impressive. I find writing review time consuming and when I am busy I get into the (bad?) habit of reading a book to just relax and I don't think of it in a review way - if that makes sense! I also need to sort my Netgallery rating, it is so hard to resist requesting more even when I have several book I need to read and review! Wishing all the best for your 2017 goals.

    1. Thank you! Oh yes I understand you on that, I did that multiple times and then had to go back and really think about what I liked about a book in order to review it. I also found that adding in all the info about the book ahead of time ended up saving me time when it came to writing a review. (I found this was only possible when I had a tbr in place.) Wishing you all the best with your 2017 goals as well. :)
