Goodreads Summary:
Trapped on the ice-planet of Delon, gamer girl Sofi and Ambassador Miguel have discovered that nothing is what it seems, including their friends. On a quest to rescue her brother, Shilo, a boy everyone believes is dead, they must now escape and warn Earth of Delon’s designs on humanity. Except the more they unearth of the planet and Sofi’s past, the more they feel themselves unraveling, as each new revelation has Sofi questioning the very existence of reality.

Meanwhile, back on Earth, Sofi’s mom, Inola, is battling a different kind of unraveling: a political one that could cost lives, positions, and a barely-rebuilt society, should they discover the deal made with the Delonese.

But there’s a secret deeper than all that. One locked away inside Sofi and ticking away with the beginnings, endings, and answers to everything. Including how to save humanity.

My Review:
May Contain Spoilers (if you haven't read the first book and want to don't read this review).

Book one: Evaporation of Sofi Snow
"Maybe the greatest thing wasn't always to be the savior or victor. Maybe it was to care for the others who one day might be saviors or victors or leaders."

Reclaiming Shilo Snow starts off right where the Evaporation of Sofi Snow ended. Now though Sofi is mostly on her own and must figure out how to save everyone she loves and how to stop the Delonese from taking over.

In this one, we follow three people: Sofi, Miguel, and Inola (Sofi & Shilo's mom). Each of these perspectives shows us a different side of whats happening and how it began to happen.

With Inola, we get to see how the Delonese really came to be a big part of this world. We see why she made the choices she did with Sofi and Shilo, and what drove her to be the biggest CEO in the world. In the first book, you'll remember that she seemed to be this emotionless parent who didn't love her children at all and only cared about her career. This one though we get to actually see her motivation and why she did shut off her emotions at times it seemed.

"The pride of a mother who knows she's had many failings, and yet knows she's also succeeded. Because her children have outgrown her and outperformed her in all the areas it truly matters."

From Sofi and Miguel's points of views, we continue on from the problems that they had discovered in the first book. Sofi is still wanting to find Shilo and escape from the Delonese world. Miguel is trying to keep Sofi safe and get everyone to safety.
To me, Sofi is such an amazing character because she's kind of superhuman, but she also is afraid and has multiple flaws. She doesn't want to be the one who saves the world, but she will if she has to.

Miguel is this character that you expect to dislike because of who he has to associate with because of his job. Yet he's also been using his position of power to find out more information about things he's noticed happening. I truly grew to like him in this book, and I am so glad that they make such a great team.

"Humanity. The Delonese. There was no difference between them. They all killed their own, and the only time they cared was when others did it to them. Ethos had been right."

Overall I absolutely loved this story. I would suggest reading the two books back to back, so you don't forget anything. I couldn't get enough of this story. It is so fast-paced, and I was constantly wanting to know if Sofi was going to be able to figure out how to stop the Delonese. Or would the Delonese take over and make Sofi tell them how she was able to hack into this system. Who was this person talking to her and helping her, is it Shilo or is she losing her mind. I can tell you this about this book, everything gets answered! The closer we got to the end of this book, I was so so afraid not everything was going to be cleared up. Thankfully Weber not only clears everything up, but she also makes it possible to have another book later on if she wants to see what the future could look like for these characters.
"I don't think you can actually hide from the world if you want to help change it. Seems like you gotta be in it to do that.
Yeah, well, the world's a mess.
So are we."

This series is now my second favorite Duology and my first favorite for the Science Fiction world. I'm also really loving this new trend of YA Christian books finally branching out from just the contemporary, and realistic fiction books. I also now want to learn how to program so much more than I already have been wanting to.
