Top Ten Tuesday (#4): Top Ten Hyped Books I've Never Read

Top Ten Tuesday is a meme created by The Broke and the Bookish. This week, the theme is “Top Ten Hyped Books I've Never Read."

For this one I tried to choose Hyped books that I would actually like to read. So without further ado here are the Top Ten Hyped Books I've Never Read.

Anna and the french kiss by Stephanie Perkins

"Anna is looking forward to her senior year in Atlanta, where she has a great job, a loyal best friend, and a crush on the verge of becoming more. Which is why she is less than thrilled about being shipped off to boarding school in Paris--until she meets Étienne St. Clair. Smart, charming, beautiful, Étienne has it all...including a serious girlfriend."

I'm a little bit nervous about reading this one since it has been popular for quite awhile now.

Fangirl by Rainbow Rowell

"But for Cath, being a fan is her life—and she’s really good at it. She and her twin sister, Wren, ensconced themselves in the Simon Snow series when they were just kids; it’s what got them through their mother leaving."

Rowell is one of the most popular author right now and I have yet to read one of her books. Hopefully this is a good one to start with.

  Outlander   by Diana Gabaldon

"The year is 1945. Claire Randall, a former combat nurse, is just back from the war and reunited with her husband on a second honeymoon when she walks through a standing stone in one of the ancient circles that dot the British Isles. Suddenly she is a Sassenach—an “outlander”—in a Scotland torn by war and raiding border clans in the year of Our Lord...1743."

After watching part of the first episode of the tv show I decided to wait and read the books first and then start  with the tv show again

The Murder Complex by Lindsay Cummings

"Meadow Woodson, a fifteen-year-old girl who has been trained by her father to fight, to kill, and to survive in any situation, lives with her family on a houseboat in Florida. The state is controlled by The Murder Complex, an organization that tracks the population with precision."

I'm not exactly sure what this book will be but it appears to be a dystopian of sorts.

Ready Player One by Ernest Cline

"In the year 2044, reality is an ugly place. The only time teenage Wade Watts really feels alive is when he's jacked into the virtual utopia known as the  OASIS. Wade's devoted his life to studying the puzzles hidden within this world's digital confines, puzzles that are based on their creator's obsession with the pop culture of decades past and that promise massive power and fortune to whoever can unlock them."
This has been recommended to me so many times now that I feel like I should read it soon to see if it lives up to the hype.

Cinder by Marissa Meyer

"Humans and androids crowd the raucous streets of New Beijing. A deadly plague ravages the population. From space, a ruthless lunar people watch, waiting to make their move. No one knows that Earth’s fate hinges on one girl. "
With two new books coming out this year in this series, I think its finally time I start it!
Me and Earl and the Dying Girl by Jesse Andrews

"Greg Gaines is the last master of high school espionage, able to disappear at will into any social environment. He has only one friend, Earl, and together they spend their time making movies, their own incomprehensible versions of Coppola and Herzog cult classics."

With the movie coming out this summer this book has been everywhere and it looks like it will be a pretty funny read.

Orphan Train by Christina Baker Kline

"A captivating story of two very different women who build an unexpected friendship: a 91-year-old woman with a hidden past as an orphan-train rider and the teenage girl whose own troubled adolescence leads her to seek answers to questions no one has ever thought to ask."

In middle school I loved the orphan train series of books and since then I've been interested in reading other things about the orphan trains.

The Martian by Andy Weir

"Six days ago, astronaut Mark Watney became one of the first people to walk on Mars. Now, he's sure he'll be the first person to die there."

I've been seeing a lot of the booktube community wanting to read this recently and I believe there is a movie coming out soon.

The Raven Boys by Maggie Steifvater

"Every year, Blue Sargent stands next to her clairvoyant mother as the soon-to-be dead walk past. Blue herself never sees them—not until this year, when a boy emerges from the dark and speaks directly to her."

I feel like this book has been everywhere recently and I'm hoping its as good as everyone says it is.

What are some of your top ten hyped books that you haven't read yet? Also of these book is there any that I need to read right away?

  1. Fangirl is on my list too! And I've never read The Martian, but I've got it on my Kindle and planning on reading it very soon. In fact, I've never read any of these either. There's just too many books to read!

    1. For me it might be one of those that I watch the movie first to see if I will even like it.
