Top 5 Wednesday!
This week is Top 5 Halloween Recommendations. I ended up going with books that aren't necessarily Halloween, but more so just creepy books in general.
The Dead House by Dawn Kurtagich
I was never really sure what to think what exactly was going on with
this story. Was it a demon? Or, Was it just split personalities? I'm not
sure I will ever know.
Sworn to Silence by Linda Castillo
I have read the 1st and the 4th book in this series. Both books were
equally creepy. They follow murders and how they happened and don't
really sugarcoat much at all.
Escape from Eden by Elisa Nader
This isn't probably going to be what most people consider to be a
typical Halloween recommendation as it's not, really about anything
fictionally creepy or about murderers. Instead, this book covers a
dystopian type society based around a religious cult. When you start really think about what happened in this book it is pretty scary.
Harry Potter and the Sorcerer's Stone by J.K. Rowling
This whole series can be used for pretty much every holiday from now
until after Christmas. I'll try not to use it a lot though. I choose
this specific book though because there is an actual Halloween night in
it.
This book isn't super scary or anything like that. But it is about
vampires and history and was very interesting and actually somewhat
believable. Which I think is hard to do when changing history a little
bit.
That was my Top 5 Halloween Recommendations. I tried to do a mixture of scary and some not so scary as well. What do you Recommend for Halloween reads?

I've heard such mixed things about The Dead House but it definitely intrigues me! Will have to see if my local library has a copy!
